Metamemory
Unreal Engine/Immersive Experience
This immersive experience explores the intersection between digital waste and memory, drawing attention to how both are often held onto, even when their practical value has diminished. People frequently become attached to memories, especially from childhood, in the same way they accumulate and keep digital remnants—old files, or forgotten virtual objects. The experience begins in a familiar, grounded scene before guiding the player through a journey inspired by the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland in the transition. Then entering a whimsical dreamy nature land with 3D scanned objects as a digital waste spawning everywhere and that each of them will tell their own stories as a player interacts. Player can decide to keep the objects or move on. As the player accumulated more objects, their speed will slow down until it stops completely. Suggesting that, in order to move on, they have to let go.

World building via Unreal Engine with some LLM (Deepseek) implemented for the object story telling. Main interaction on Unreal Engine was done through Blueprint. Using 3D scan objects that people upload on Polycam. Landscape and many materials are pre-made asset from Fab.com
